Here is a short, fun little video that I made today that shows my passion for both Nintendo and martial arts. It’s both Nintendo Switch and Shotokan Karate in one! Enjoy and here’s to Nintendo Switch in just 24 more days…March 3rd!

On December 20th, 2013, I took my 3rd Degree Black belt exam in Shotokan Karate and now have the video to share. Thank you to my wife Kim and fellow dojo member, Ken, for filming the test, Saad for being my Kumite partner, and PGN’s own David Razavi for editing everything together…including adding in some […]

In another 15 minutes, UFC 154: Georges St-Pierre vs. Carlos Condit is going to be underway and the card is definitely a promising one. I have no doubt that with some of these matchups, we’ll get a quick knockout here, a hearty war there, and probably a few surprises. That’s what you simply come to […]

The UFC put on one terrific pay per view event last night in 153: Anderson Silva vs. Stephan Bonnar. The Brazil fans were as vocal as ever and for good reason too. I think every fight was just excellent. Submissions, knockouts, all out wars, and some extremely resilient fighters. A big congratulations to all of […]

Congratulations to Jon Jones and Demetrious Johnson on a great showing at UFC 152.

The UFC had another exciting pay per view tonight, with a great main event between Jon Jones and Vitor Belfort and an interesting first ever flyweight championship match between Demetrious Johnson and Joseph Benavidez. Jon defended his UFC Light Heavyweight championship in the 4th round against Vitor, with a well placed submission, after dominating for […]

New Muay Thai workout wear from Thailand. Videos coming soon.

One of my clients just came back from Thailand and brought for me some really cool workout wear. Really nice Muay Thai shorts, tank top, and hat…thanks buddy. This summer I plan on putting these clothes to good work by doing a new Muay Thai workout video.

Two more pictures from yesterday’s martial arts photo shoot.

If yesterday’s photo shoot represented the “Ken” in me (and that’s Street Fighter’s Ken…not Barbie’s), then today’s is definitely more Ryu. These were also taken the other day at Stoney Point Park, CA and as with past outdoor martial arts training events…there’s just nothing quite like it. Classic Shotokan Karate back stance with knife hand […]

Martial arts photo shoot from Stoney Point Park.

Earlier today I went to Stoney Point Park to do some outdoor training, which included rock climbing, boulder hopping, martial arts, and nunchaku practice. Two friends came with me and took some cool pictures and videos while I was going about, doing my stuff. I think the shots they took turned out really good and […]

What do you want from Paul Gale Network in 2012?

Today is January 1st, 2012 and as I hinted yesterday, I already have something that I’m working on delivering to all of you that visit for the video game news…as soon as possible.  This article right now, however, is my intent to see what you want.  Be it trying to share the Wii U scoop […]

UFC 141: Brock Lesnar vs. Alistair Overeem was yet another great pay per view. And to Brock, thanks and good luck.

It was a mere 20 days ago that UFC 140 delivered with so many incredible fights with truly diverse finishes…amalgamating now, UFC 141 finished 2011 the way the mixed martial arts world likes it: full of excitement.   The night saw some great fights with a real war between Nate Diaz and Donald Cerrone.  Both […]

UFC 140 was incredible!

A big congratulations goes out to all of the fighters that participated in UFC 140 last night. Both winners and losers of pretty much every match, really put on a solid performance with a few fights having completely memorable moments/finishes. Jon Jones choking out Lyoto Machida to retain his Light Heavyweight Championship after losing the […]

My perspective on Shotokan Karate in MMA and the fight between Lyoto Machida and Jon Jones at UFC 140.

As a 2nd degree black belt in Shotokan Karate, myself, I definitely relate to Lyoto Machida’s style. I have trained in various martial arts throughout my life prior to Shotokan, but it has been my dedicated style for the last 8 years. Karate can be a very effective tool in the world of mixed martial […]
