Lisek’s Great Adventure (Large)
Hello everyone and thank you for your time in visiting this article. My name is Paul Gale and Lisek’s Great Adventure is my children’s book that’s available in paperback by visiting Bookstore.Trafford.com.
To save some money, you can also pick it up here: Amazon.com/Liseks-Great-Adventure-Paul-Gale. If you’re a Barnes & Noble fan, it’s there too. In addition to the colored, paperback version of Lisek’s Great Adventure, e-book versions are available on Kindle, Nook, all iOS devices (including iPhone and iPod), and Droid. Finally, there is an actual, Lisek’s Great Adventure – App, being built for the iPad and includes such features as a narrated voice over, coloring mode, and puzzle mode.
I’m extremely proud of this book and thank Jonine Latar for contributing with her amazing illustrations that perfectly captured what I was going for. The story revolves around a little half beagle, half pug dog named Lisek (pronounced Lee-Seck…translated from Polish for “Little Fox”) and is a tale I’ve wanted to tell since I was 12 years old. Fast forward 16 years and it was finally in January, 2012, that after a specific chain of events occurred, I sat down and began putting my childhood thoughts into real words.
Whether you’re an existing reader of Paul Gale Network for its video game news, martial arts tutorial, personal training advice, or other forms of entertainment, it would be my most sincere pleasure to get your feedback on my story. And if you’re visiting this site for the first time, perhaps specifically for Lisek’s Great Adventure, I hope you enjoy both it and my book. Thank you to everyone who has supported me over the years.

New Children’s Book Celebrates Precocious Dog
After 16 years, Paul Gale launches new children’s book, Lisek’s Great Adventure
WINNETKA, Calif. – When martial artist Paul Gale decided to turn his attention to another art form – writing – he looked no further than one of his most prevalent childhood memories.
“I got my first pet, that I named Lisek, when I was just a 5 year old boy, and had her until I was 12 years old,” remembers Gale. “During our time together for those 7 years, I oftentimes spoke with my mom and dad, asking them, ‘What do you think Lisek is thinking about right now as she’s playing with us?’ I’d ask these questions, because my dog had such a smile sometimes, and was so expressive with it, that I thought, ‘She has to be thinking of something.’” And so launches Gale’s advernturous new children’s book, Lisek’s Great Adventure (published by Trafford Publishing).
Pet lovers, both young and old, will find much to enjoy in Gale’s charming exploration into the inner thoughts of a young half beagle, half pug dog named Lisek.
Beautifully illustrated by Jonine Latar, Lisek’s Great Adventure is designed to teach children how fun it can be to have an animal and the responsibility that comes with it. It’s also meant to bring a smile to adults who remember the happiness they experienced with their first pet.
Reminiscent of such kid-favorites as Norman Bridwell’s Clifford the Big Red Dog and Alyssa Satin Capucilli’s Biscuit series, Gale presents a story from the pet’s point of view while delivering life lessons learned by the pet’s young caregivers.
Young readers are sure to enjoy the easy-to-read storylines and the colorful illustrations, while parents will enjoy the helpful lessons in kindness, generosity and responsibility. Moreover, Gale’s own 16-year journey in publishing the book will encourage aspiring writers of all ages. “If you have an idea or a passion,” he writes in his book’s back cover, “run with it and make it happen…don’t wait.”

[…] Last night was a lot of fun at the event in Los Angeles put on by Iam8bit and Capcom, to celebrate Street Fighter’s 25th anniversary with a great art exhibit. In addition to a great setup with lots to look at, there were many fans of PGN that shouted out, took pictures with, and had a good time. Amongst these people were also several of the exhibit’s artist and we too shared some laughs…not to mention me being flattered that they were supportive of my new book. […]
