PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale (Title Fight) update: Paul Gale Network brings your voices to SuperBot Entertainment and Sony!

Title Fight on Paul Gale Network

It’s been a good 10 days since Paul Gale Network provided you with an update on Title Fight, but do know that I have been working behind the scenes to try and do something special for you…and now’s the time to share it.  I contacted my source with the following proposal:

“What do you think about PaulGaleNetwork.com having a continuously updating article that isn’t used as a gateway for me to share information with my readers, but rather one that’d be a designated place on the web where the legions of fans that are so passionate about Title Fight can share their thoughts…ranging from concerns about the game, to voices of thank you’s, to real suggestions for the development team for Sony first party characters that HAVE to make it/recommended 3rd party characters, stages, items, music, and any other possible idea imaginable.”

I went on further with the pitch, saying that there are so many creative ideas that get shared online in the form of comment sections attached to articles and message board forums, but it’d be too difficult for a developer/publisher to sift through everything and pick the best of the bunch (especially with there being thousands of websites to gather information from).  This idea of mine was an effort to really try and attach the development team of Title Fight with the people that will be the cause of the game’s success: YOU.

My source was all aboard with the idea, but I also contacted both Sony and SuperBot Entertainment’s PR team to get their “ok” and thus have this idea be officially sanctioned.  Though at the time of this writing, SBE did not get back, Sony did and was optimistic.  So that being said, here’s how it will work.

From now on, if you have any idea about a character roster that you would like to see in the game, made up of either all Sony first party characters or with the inclusion of a few key 3rd party characters, share it here.  If you’ve got ideas of stages that you feel could truly work and have conceptualized every last detail, share it here.  If there’s a list of songs, items, ideas for a story mode, whole movesets for the fighters, different titles for the game to don, release date recommendations, etc…share it here.

What I will do in return is once a week, submit all new entries that Paul Gale Network receives from all of you, to Sony and/or SuperBot Entertainment (with my specific source receiving everything).  I can’t guarantee a response from them back to you, but at least you’ll know that everything you have to share, even if it’s a “thanks for making this game finally happen”, will make its way to someone that’ll actually read it.

I’m looking forward to seeing what you all have to say .  Also, this story will have a permanent spot in the upper left hand corner of PGN’s main page, alongside the currently featured article, Street Fighter Legends: Ryu (my fan made video project for Capcom).  Thank you all!

PLEASE choose Wander from Shadow of the Colossus to appear in this game as a playable character!

He would be a fan favourite and has so many that want to see him playable.
He could have moves that utilise all the weapons and items he attained from the trials vs the colossi like the flash arrows and harpoons. Not to mention he would have potentially amazing super moves, for example his level 3 super could have him transform into Dormin like he does towards the end of Shadow of the colossus, then give him the attacks he had in that small portion of the game and make them 1 hit ko’s or however much damage seems reasonable.

I really hope that the characters look like their original selves, and have more recent appearances as alternate costumes. For example, if Crash and Spyro make it in, I’d like them to look like this:

http://www.spyrohints.com/images/0-spyro-pose-1.gif

If Rayman and Cloud make it in too, make Cloud his original polygonal sprite, and Rayman his original too.

To represent Ape Escape I think regular Pipo Monkey would be the best choice, you could have it change costume with every move it has that way it could perform all the attacks and moves they had from the games that wore the varying outfits.

Also, you should really try to get hold of a Metal Gear Solid character that isn’t snake, for example MGS2 or Rising’s version of Raiden, or Gray Fox from MGS1, he made it in as an assist trophy in Brawl but he would make a much more interesting playable character!

Prana Devil moveset (I don’t know exactly what type of attacks each attack button does so i’m just gonna say square is the quick/weak attacks and triangle is the special attacks, I also don’t know what attacks circle can be for him so i’m just leaving it out until the controls are shown in more depth, same with grabs)

Neutral square: slash forward with his claws, slash combo if done repeatedly.

Up square: jumps up and bites above him, can be charged to jump higher up.

Side square: brings his claws downward to slash in the direction he is facing, can be charged to do more damage.

Down square: he bites on one side of him and then on the other side, can be charged.

Neutral triangle: acid spit, where he shoots 3 acid balls of spit each time the button is pressed, can be charged to shoot six acid spit balls.

Side triangle: chomp dash, where he flies in the direction he is facing with his jaws wide open, if this connects with opponent right away, he just does one quick chomp, but if it connects with opponent close to when the attack is about to end, he latches onto the opponent and starts to chew on them, the more you tap the button, the more chomps you get in.

Up triangle: he flies upward and chomps three times, each chomp bringing him higher up, this move has the same animation as up square so it can be used to fake out opponents.

Down triangle: he lays an egg and it hatches into a baby prana devil that runs around the arena chasing down enemies to chomp on, only 1 can be out at a time and they are easily killed.

Level 1 super: he lays several eggs that all hatch and run forward a short distance into an enemy at least half the distance from the player and then eat him alive.

Level 2 super: he lays 2 eggs that hatch into 2 fully grown prana devils and the player can now control all three prana devils at the same time, and if the player uses any of prana devils moves, the other 2 both do it a split second after the first 1.

Level 3 super: he evolves into his Mega Prana form and every one of his moves is enhanced, including his egg lay move, which now lays an even bigger prana devil baby that doesn’t die as easily as the regular prana devil baby. Prana Devil stays in this form for a short while.

Bomberman Moveset (once again, i don’t know the structure for movesets so im just using square and triangle) first off, all his bombs explode in a grid formation, like in his games.

Neutral square: he does a quick punch, a 2 punch then kick combo if pressed repeatedly.

Side square: remote bomb, where he plants a remote bomb down infront of him that he can detonate at any time by pressing the button again. Its explodes in a cross formation and its explosion range is 1 square by 1 square, like in his game.

Down square: mine bomb, where he plants a mine bomb under him that sinks underground, only a tiny blinking red light being visible, this move doesnt do much damage and is detonated by a player stepping on it. Its explosion range 1 square by 1 square and it explodes in a cross formation, like in his games.

Up square: upward bomb toss where he tosses a regular bomb upward a short distance, can be charged to be trown higher up.

jdude1996a May 6, 2012 at 4:07 pm

Neutral triangle: bomb drop, where he drops a bomb under him. the type of bomb that he drops depends on how long he waits before using this move. the 4 different bombs he can use in this move are: normal bombs explode in cross formations and their explosion range is 1 square by 1 square and takes 0 secs before u can use this bomb, spike bomb which explodes in cross formation and their explosion range is 6 squares by 6 squares and take 10 secs before u can use this bomb. sensor bomb explodes in cross formation, and their explosion range is 9 by 9 squares and takes 20 secs before u can use this bomb. finally dangerous bomb which explodes in square formation and its explosion range is 12 by 12 squares and takes 30 secs till you get to use this bomb, plus their explosion goes through walls/floors.

jdude1996a May 6, 2012 at 4:20 pm

Down triangle: bomb kick, where he kicks bomb infront of him that slides across the floor. The type of bomb he kicks depends on how long he waits before using this move. The bombs are: regular bomb that has the same functions as in his other move. bouncy bomb which bounces off walls, explodes in cross formation, its explosion range is 6 by 6 squares and it takes 10 secs till u can use this bomb. power bomb which explodes in cross formation and its explosion range goes fully across the screen, and it takes 20 secs till you get to use this move.

jdude1996a May 6, 2012 at 4:32 pm

Side triangle: bomb punch, where he punches a bomb infront of him that flies in an arc formation a short distance and if bomb hits you before landing, you are momentarily stunned. you get different bombs for this move aswell which are: normal, same functions as other moves. rocket bomb that flies across screen and if it connects with enemy or wall, exolodes, its explosion range is 9 by 9 squares and explodes in cross formation, and it takes 20 seconds till you can use this move. Split bomb, that separates into 3 separate bombs after 5 secs that fly into random parts of an arena, each bomb explodes in cross formation, and eachs explosion range is 12 by 12 squares, this bomb taking 30 seconds till it can be used.

Up triangle: bomb recovery where he puts bomb under him which explodes, propelling him upward.

jdude1996a May 6, 2012 at 4:46 pm

Level 1 super: throws giant bomb at medium distance that makes big explosion.

Level 2 super: starts juggling a bunch of bombs and then tosses them up in the air and they fall down on 1 quarter of the stage, then on another quarter of the stage while bomberman covers his head and runs the opposite side of where the bombs are gonna land trying to not get hit by any bombs, indicating to enemies where the bombs are gonna land next.

Level 3 super: throws a giand bomb at medium distance and anyone caught in the explosion is sent to bombermans world where he runs around you and plants bombs all around you, which explode and send enemies flying.

jdude1996a May 6, 2012 at 4:49 pm

OH and also to balance him, you can all his bombs able to harm bomberman aswell but does only half the damage to him.

I have another idea for a level:
A mixture of games “Pirates: The Legend of Black Kat,” “Kingdom Hearts” and “Limbo.”
Let me explain:
* It would be aboard a pirate ship (Pirates: The Legend of Black Kat), see this video from 6 Minutes and 02 seconds:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oa30XW_b3iU&feature=relmfu
The boat, Leading by Black kat, ordered to shoot cannonballs over the No-Heart (Darkside) Destiny Island (Kingdom Hearts)
* The atmosphere of the level would take place during the time (in Kingdom Hearts) or Destiny Island falls into darkness, and is attacked by the heartless …
Watch this video from 15 Minutes and 25 seconds:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29vbhS0F9Cw&feature=relmfu
* Limbo sidestepping those without heart and activate traps to help us …

What do you think of that?

RazgrizInferno May 11, 2012 at 6:52 am

Since all the stages are some kind of crossover, here’s my stage idea:

The Panda King (from Sly Cooper), assaulting Cortex Castle (from Crash Bandicoot).

It would be a great Crash stage, and the Panda King would be attacking everyone with fireworks. How can a stage not be awesome with fireworks flying everywhere?

SoraBoy124 May 12, 2012 at 6:02 pm

I saw we need Noire, Vert, Blanc, and Neptune from the game Hyperdimension Neptunia I believe these will be great additions to the game, and also I know this character submission is late but I just found out about this game yesterday and its awesome!!
