Rey Jimenez is best known for his 2D fighting game expertise. He’s the producer and thus, man responsible for Super Street Fighter II Turbo: HD Remix, as well as the Xbox 360 and PS3 downloadable ports of Marvel vs. Capcom 2.

E3 2009: Rey Jimenez and Paul Gale

At E3 2009, I was introduced to Rey through my other Capcom friend, Seth Killian and man how I learned quickly how hardcore of a gamer Mr. Jimenez is. For as big of a Capcom fan as I am, I’d say that them having Rey on board is a good move because I could tell that this man bleeds blue and yellow (the company’s logo’s colors).

He thanked me at the show for contributing to the “Achievements ideas” in Super Street Fighter II Turbo: HD Remix, in which one of my ideas that made it into the game was finishing off Sagat with Ryu, doing a ShoRyuKen. I’m glad he liked it and was very happy to hear all about Marvel vs. Capcom 2’s comeback. I told him that we need to see a proper sequel one day and without telling me anything direct, simply agreed.

Thanks Rey for being a real team player. It’s no wonder why Capcom continues to pump out so many hits, year after year when they’ve got such faithful members on board. Keep it up my friend and best of luck in your future endeavors.
