E3 2005: Bryan Intihar and Paul Gale (large)
Bryan Intihar was born on March 7th, 1978 and hails from Connecticut, where he graduated with a degree in Psychology from the University of Connecticut. Before he began work for 1up.com, which is where we met, he was in video games retail. While on the 1up.com message boards and working for Electronic Gaming Monthly, from 2003-2008, Bryan served as editor and regular guest on the 1Up Radio Network. We oftentimes spoke of what we were expecting from the upcoming year’s E3 and actually met in person for the first time in 2005. Having worked myself, for Electronics Boutique, we had some similar background before working in the online world, adding to extra relatedness.
Bryan got married to then fiance, Jessica, in 2007 and left 1Up.com in March of 2008, to work as a Community Manager for Insomniac Games. For the last six years, he’s been getting paid to make games, including Resistance 2, various Ratchet & Clank titles, and the upcoming Sunset Overdrive. It’s been close to a decade since I’ve seen you, old friend, so it’s a good thing we have Facebook. Happy Birthday, too! Thank you for always being cool and here’s wishing you the best of success in all you do going forward.

Update: It’s been a while since Bryan and I have seen each other in person, but at this year’s E3 we met up and got talking about the upcoming Spider-Man game that him and Insomniac Games have been working on. Safe to say, it’s going to be amazing! Spider-Man hits PlayStation 4, September 7th.
