I am still waiting for two things to happen before the 10th/11th. The first of which, is an e-mail response from SuperBot, simply telling me whether or not they’d like me to run a new article with the remaining information I have.
However they respond, will be a win win situation for the fans. They don’t have to give me an explanation as to why they wouldn’t want me to run my story…just tell me not to.
By telling me not to, it can be interpreted as, “The final list of characters I have is real, as has been the case for all 20 I received previously, and thus, a reveal now would ruin their final surprise plans.” OR “20 is it, but we’d still prefer the article to not go up because all it will do is cause more chaos and end up disappointing fans, because that final list isn’t real.”
It’s a win win for SuperBot though because at least I’m giving them the most fair option I can possibly present at this point in time and that’s fully controlling what Paul Gale Network does with its proposed final list of characters remaining in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.
The second thing I’m waiting for is that final poster with all characters that my friend and source has received. I have not seen it yet, but personally want to quite so, so that I can be more confident in believing that my final list is in fact, 100% accurate.
You can vote here and/or on twitter for how you want me to handle the story, should SuperBot not reply.

Well I mean if you do get the poster and SuperBot doesn’t reply back by the 10th. Would you show us the poster when you start giving away info about characters? If the 3RD wins, you can just cover up the characters and “pull the curtain off” for one character at a time.
If there’s a vote to choose, i choose the most obvious way: be explicit Paul, and most of all, shut up those NeoGAF flies. They are quite annoying right now.

What confuses me is you make it sound like the *’s from the letter are the only characters left, if people’s predictions are correct, that would mean something like: “Kat, an assassin, and maybe another”, yet I feel those few don’t fit your previous hints… What does it all mean!?!?! LOL, this is why I vote FULL 🙂
Each division has a representative(s). This goes beyond the *’s.
So it was basically:

-Characters
Only with the characters sections removed completely, rather then censored with *s?
I vote segmented. One playable character every other day or something. Give us all stuff to talk about and keep the hype rolling for longer.

I’m usually a big fan of the slow burn, but there’s just so much negativity and pessimism out there right now. This community could use a big ol’ boost Paul, and you’re the only man who can give it to them. : D So when October 10th/11th rolls around, I’d love for you to just tell the fans everything you have.

But SuperBot decided to just make a 20 character roster and release them as On Disc DLC to make some extra cash after release, similar to Capcoms DLC model.
If you release those character names you will enrage the fanbase when they find out later.

I’ve waited long enough already!
Paul I respect you for what you are trying to do, but I don’t think you should reveal the characters because it will hurt Sony/Suberbot’s relationship with third party publishers/developers like how it happened with Raiden being leaked(the beta leak, not you) and then Konami and Platinum Games got annoyed for that because it was supposed that his reveal would cause hype for the upcoming Metal Gear Rising, which obviously didn’t happen, and now it is very likely that they won’t trust on Superbot again. Also it’s very probable that Superbot will ignore that e-mail(especially because they could think that you will reveal their answer to the public and if they have a negative answer then fans will get angry at them as they have been doing lately) or that they just tell you to don’t do anything because Superbot aren’t in charge of advertising the game; Sony are the ones and you would be ruining how they were planning on advertising it; for example look at what happened when they delayed the game one month: Sony didn’t know how to handle their reveals that they had planned months ago and therefore they just didn’t reveal any kind of information for several weeks. Another example could be the beta leak which, if I’m not mistaken, caused them to reveal all the characters as soon as possible.
The fans that are telling you to reveal the characters aren’t thinking long-term and you know it. If you reveal the characters it could affect negatively the game, the franchise and especially Superbot which could close down if the game doesn’t do very well and it would be a pity that many skillful people(and especially the veterans that left their previous jobs to join this project) lose their jobs for all the bad luck they had been having lately. I know that many people are defaming you and I think that you could fix that by just keep giving hints like before, but now trying to be not too vague. I think that now you should try something different like posting silhouettes a la “who’s that Pokémon?”, but with random poses of the characters taken from gameplay videos, trailers, etc and when Sony have revealed them, then you post the images so that fans believe you; another alternative could be posting songs from YouTube with lyrics slightly related with what you are trying to hint: it could be a character, a game mode or any other info you could have. Anyways the possibilities are endless and you may have a better idea than me.
Lastly, I know that you are a good person, Paul, so I trust that you will do what you think is the best for Superbot, the fans and you of course, good luck and thanks for what you are doing.

After reading this I feel a bit embarrassed for how immature I’d been, and I’d like to change my vote to “no reveals” as well.
The Black Smoke is right. As much as I hate to keep waiting, revealing all the characters could be seriously destructive to Superbot’s PR. Heck, it’s killing me even to write this, because a part of me is saying “No! Don’t tell him not to reveal stuff!”
I badly want to know the rest of the characters, but look. Come November 20th, we’ll all know everything. From now to then it really doesn’t matter whether we figure everything out tonight or on the 20th. What does matter, though, is the impact it has on the great men and women who are working to produce, market, and sell this game.
So I reluctantly have to ask you not to do any reveals. I hate saying it, and it hurts deep down, but I feel that it’s the right thing. The fans may be clamoring for news, but they can wait – damaging relationships between Sony and Square/Activision might not be as easy to repair.
A minority move but it will be recorded…

please make sure, when/if u do do hints or unvieling, to highlight bold and state numerous times that it is ur information, and not necessarily in game, dlc, or even real. but i still want to know the info u had that made u so excited, because ur excitement has been what kept us, the fans, going.
a few things
1. please do not tell all characters at once it’s will be a disaster the people wanting to reveal all at once are be greedy and not looking at the full picture. If everything is revealed at once the hype will die look at the forums now that there is no info it’s in chaos. One character per week until launch will be enough to maintain hype and be better for this game so please do not listen to the fans on this note and do what is best for the game and the fans( even if they don’t know it yet).
2. I been promised a responce on neogaf that I would like a reply to, if there is a better way to contact in private please tell me I got all the popular im and fb.
3. what does the character division thing mean does it mean there is only 3 characters there or just divided in ps1, ps2, ps3 or some other grouping like revealed, unrevealed, speculated?
4. For the first time ever I am getting annoyed with superbot. Instead of telling us this is the final 20 in a official statement or that there is more ondisk characters they remain silent and tell us nothing. If there is no more announcements they need to say it so people wont have to get there hopes up. They need to grow some and step to the plate so people now what to expect.
5. Another thing if crash is not in they need to say it he is by far the most demanded character I have never seen a list without him on it nor have I brought up this game to a friend and them not immeditly ask if he is in ( when I tell them not yet, there reply with what or something to that nature)

What i don’t get is the 11-letter word in your previous All Stars post.
It’s basically Vita *********** Division: Character(s)
The other two are PS1 and PS2. the thing is, you did not even reveal how many characters for each division. i am guessing 1 for Vita, 3 for PS1, and 2 for PS2.
BUT, who is the other rep for Vita besides Kat? Unless the supposed “popular” character on forums isn’t Kat but another 3-letter word. In which case, the only possible one is Gex but he isn’t even that popular. Or are you telling us that the other one would be from an upcoming Vita release like Iota from Tearaway?
