Today was Apple’s conference and during it, the biggest announcement was the unveiling of their new iPhone 4S. Equipped with 1080p video recording capability, an 8 megapixel camera, the ability to take your first picture in 1.1 seconds and each following picture .5 seconds apart, an all new A5 chip set, dual core processor, improved antenna, voice recognition features thanks to Siri, and more…it’s looking to be a better jump for iPhone 4 users than 3G was to 3GS.

There’s even three models to choose from: 16gb, 32gb, and 64gb for $200, $300, and $400 respectively. Along with a host of other improvements, including a better battery life and just being an overall more capable, powerful unit, the only gripe I have is that Apple didn’t make it have a bigger screen. All of what the iPhone 4S is, is what I wanted and hoped it would be…except for the same sized screen as its predecessor.

I think that it’s still going to be a formidable phone and now that in addition to being available on AT&T and Verizon, Sprint will have its own version, you’re going to see a whole lot more Apple where you go. For more on the iPhone 5, visit http://www.apple.com/iphone/
