Today in Japan, Nintendo’s Satoru Iwata officially confirmed that their next home console will indeed be playable at E3 this June. Also coming from Iwata was the following: “We would like to propose a new approach to home video game consoles. It’s difficult to make 3-D images a key feature, because 3-D televisions haven’t obtained wide acceptance yet.”

This is excellent news, because we’re going to have new hardware to play at back to back E3’s and that doesn’t happen very often. Only 42 days before the first 8th gen console is in our hands!
