What an ordeal it’s been to provide any type of update after I suggested a week ago that I wanted to share something currently unknown about PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. First and foremost, I did e-mail SuperBot Entertainment and did not receive a response back, so I’ve nothing to report on, on that part of this story. Next up is the fact that while at the UCLA vs. Nebraska college football game that I went to yesterday at the Rose Bowl, I did happen to play the game and got a text from my source about what the next official comment will be from SuperBot and found it interesting. This brings me to today, in which I got a text back from one SuperBot rep, some advice from my source, and a request from another individual. Here’s what I can say:
– What I wanted to share was either one new “character-driven” picture hint (the kind that is clearly decipherable) or two new “non-obvious” picture hints (the kind that have appeared more frequently as of late, on Paul Gale Network). Since for the former, I already created every character-driven hint for his or her respective character, it’d be a cinch to just upload it and let you all have fun…but I unfortunately won’t be sharing that today.
– The SuperBot rep that texted me back said the following, “Hey Paul. I don’t have authority to say whether something can or can’t be unveiled. You would need to go through Sony PR. Thanks.”
– After trying to get something, I got a separate text from a different individual, saying, “Paul. You know what you can and can’t say. I’ve read the forums and your site and see what people are asking. Please nothing new.”
– My main source in all of this then told me that if I want to satisfy the fans and respect SuperBot’s wishes, “be clever”.
That being said, here’s me being clever:

Some people already e-mailed me why I chose those words…and without saying who it was, at least one person is on the right track.
So the s in desisions was deliberate. The flexing picture is still up for a second character. The jet ski picture is still unexplained. The second individual in texting was Square? A lot of guesses have been given on old articles over the last week. Can you comment in regards to any of them?
I can comment and say that though I occasionally may misspell a word, in the article you’re referring to, it was indeed deliberate.
Paul, I respect you a lot and I REALLy appreciate what you’ve been doing for us, but can’t you reveal anything at all? We were all expecting a confirmation today…
At least tell us how many characters are in the game, there’s no way this could hurt SuperBot. Or even alternate costumes…

The Full House hint was directed at the TV show which took place in San Francisco, thus representing a stage.

Looking at the articles all I can come up with is goku the capital S for snake sora or scorpion the cat for Kat from gravity rush and the sorta plaid clothing for the guy from red dead redemption or some old character like conners in your dragon ball z thing lightning strikes could signify lightning or yellow hair could mean cloud, all my guesses. I hoping for scorpion

Hey Paul don’t listen to the haters! Your a good man and I sincerely appreciate all the hints and updates you’ve given us. You’ve been the one to give us stuff to talk about through those long days and weeks without reveals. Even though some jerks give you crap, never forget you still have some people that respect you and appreciate everything you’ve done, big or small. Just wanted to tell you my opinion and thanks for the updates 🙂

Here are my guesses…
Hint #1: The first hint, I’m guessing it has something to do with Shadow of the Colossus. Because i do realize that you had the words S,S,S, and missing the letter C. Which puts the peices together into “C—SS-S”!
Hint #2: It’s either going to reveal another Tekken fighter, or Kat from Gravity Rush, considering it’s the same picture, and i do know sometimes they reveal 2 or 4 characters in a reveal like this, so this either concludes them appearing in!
Hint #3: Well, there are 3 pictures i can presume are hints. 1, The picture of you could be that an Avatar could be a playable. 2, The crowd of people and you could hint that from a certain location hinting the second half of the stage. 3, The Jetski hint obviously could be Crash Bandicoot, because they had it in Crash 3: Warpped! and some pictures show Crash on a Jetski back in the past.
Hint #4?: a Square-Enix card is shown in one of your chats. I’m a guess an Square Enix IP could appear (obviously Final Fantasy). Which i wouldn’t mind whoever appears in!
But those are my major guesses, i don’t have an fourm name.. So i decided to try taking a gamble on the hints! 🙂
U have basically confirmed an FF.characteR and Kat. But I say 22+ and I’m guessing that means 24 or 26 every character needs a rival, so who r the 2-4 we r missing

He already told us the picture of the fighter is more than just Heihachi and you go ahead and take the Toro hint and make it into Kat and go “you just confirmed Kat”, well no he didn’t. You did.
I said basically confirmed since Kat has already been confirmed via leaked picture and the cat is obviously Kat.
Or maybe 6 sorta unknown characters a recent leak suggests other than Kat and cloud scorpion nightmare crash Conner ico and wander are going to be included. Is that crazy?

Well, i’m gonna take a little guess on this… (and i was just testing on this, since my previous post was off for some reason, and that i’m kinda new.)
Hint #1: C,S,S,S (i’m taking the two that were shown, i presume it has something with The Shadow of Colosuss)
Hint #2: (Obviously another Tekken fighter, and Kat of Gravity Rush!)
Hint #3: (I guess it could be a stage that suppose to take place in San Francisco?)
Hint #4?: (The Square Enix Card shown could hint an IP from it (likely to be Final Fantasy)

I talked about the attractive female, the old school rep, sword wielder, and provided the pictures of the Dodge Charger during the day, at night, with the Outdoor Grill = Coal = Cole reference, all equating to Cole McGrath and Evil Cole McGrath. im sitting in my dorm right now and i always have a smile on my face when i hear more news about this game even if nothing is revealed. Yes its 2:45 am and my brother told me you put something new up so i jumped on here, lol. You do great work, but what im hoping for is lighting, cloud, sora, and of course my favorite character of all time sephiroth i love FF and Square enix. Can’t wait till TGS. Thank you Paul!!

Oddly enough, I’m not going to ask any characters question but a Time and Date question. It’s been already confirmed that they’ll be at TGS and it’s too big of a chance for them not to reveal characters. Plus it’s part of the last big three they are most likely to reveal at.

Hey Paul – I just wanted to say that I appreciate how you’ve handled this. I know some people are going to be upset that you can’t share more, but I for am happy that you try to keep us in the loop as much as possible.
Also, I think not outright revealing anything was the right choice here. I want to know if some of my favorite characters are in this game as much as anyone else, but the hints keep up a sense of mystery and hope that I think really helps keep the hype going. Most people in your position would have just dumped everything they knew into a single post day 1 and spoiled everything outright. Instead you’ve provided us all with hours of enjoyment trying to decipher your clues with each other and I think it’s helped build hype for this game more than just about anything.
I also appreciate how you managed to sneak us a few hints while still technically respecting Superbot’s wishes. The hints are way fun and while I am disappointed to not see anything new, I know you’ll still do as much as you can for us.

The “S” being capital at the end shows that it would be the last letter of a name such as NoctiS (especially with the “iS” hint)

The reason why that story is relevant is mainly because of his cosplaying Goku picture. However, it’s not the “Goku” part you should be focusing on. It’s the Saiyan part as what he really wants to show is Vegeta who is the Prince of the Saiyans just like Noctis who is also a prince.

Nomura has also stated that he would show us the future of Final Fantasy “soon”. What Nomura could’ve been talking about is Noctis in Playstation All-Stars.
You mentioned GameFAQs and they’re a site known for their big character battles. Safe to say that some of the remaining roster in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale have appeared in the brackets at one point or another, over the years.

So, you DO know of the next couple characters, or you just know that there is 22+? Also that hint has two capital SS’s, so I’m guessing there will be a Nazi in the game.
I do know of remaining characters planned. Though with this game, I wouldn’t be surprised if additional DLC is in the makings that I don’t know of.

People keep thinking that C,S,S,S is a hint to the Shadow of Colossus, but…that’s only SC. Something doesn’t add up here. I remember that people kept asking for you to at least do one of two things:
1) Reveal final roster size
2) At least give us the FIRST letter to each character’s names.
So, I think that, even though that’s not all, those are clear hints to the character names.
Names can be taken in many ways.
You have C, S, S, S and then this adds SS from how I’m seeing it. It could also be C.S., S, S, SS
Now, what I want to know is, if with that C, S, S, S at the least, were you giving them a few name starters, or are they pretty close onto it? If this can’t be answered, I understand. 🙂

Ok, I’m new here so I’m going to take a shot in the dark. I’ve seen one C.S, multiple S’s and one SS. This is just my guess. Cloud Strife, Sora, Spyro, and/or Solid Snake. I may be completely off, and I know that you can’t reveal much, but a reply with anything would be nice 🙂

Now here is my guess as to who the character you have been hinting at is. But… I may be completely over-analyzing things.
My guess is none other than Chrono from Chrono Trigger!
* The first clue that obviously led me to this conclusion was the Square Enix card used to cover your phone.
* The second clue was the following sentence: “Everything in thiS article was intended as iS”. In the said article, decisions was spelled with an ‘s’. With all of this emphasis on the letter ‘s’, and the double use of it in the sentence, I believe you were hinting at SquareSoft, which is now a part of Square Enix. Chrono Trigger was made by Squaresoft.
* The third clue was your Dragonball Z picture. As a fan would know, Dragonball’s mangaka (author) is Akira Toriyama, who worked on the character design in Chrono Trigger.
* The final clue I found was your use of the following words in response to jjand302: “None at this time”. TIME. Need I say more?
