A week ago I was able to answer a lot of your questions regarding Title Fight and today I’ll will be providing some new answers. The one question that has popped up the most however, is “Who is the game’s developer”? This isn’t information that I can simply put up when I feel like, because there are a lot of things to consider. For one, privacy to the development team until they’re ready and remember folks, they are a video game company, there are stocks attached, investors involved, etc. This is why I have refrained from revealing all. However, I will be e-mailing the team tonight and ask when I can share with all of you, who they are and start showing off actual content. For now, here are some minor updates that I can talk about out:
Q1] What buttons represent what actions?
A1] Left Analog = move, X = jump, Square = attack, Triangle = attack, Circle = attack, R2 = super move.
Q2] How do you perform special moves and other such attacks?
A2] The way you pull off moves is similar to Super Smash Bros. Brawl, in that you can press any of the attack buttons and do a basic move, but when pressed simultaneously with up, left/right, or down, you will pull off a more special attack.
Q3] You mentioned that Sweet Tooth is a “slow moving character”. What are the different weight classes?
A3] Lighter characters = Parappa, Kratos, Sly Cooper, Nathan Drake. Heavier characters = Sweet Tooth, Colonel Mael Radec, Fat Princess.
Q4] Does the game have a story mode?
A4] There isn’t any information on that at this time.
Q5] Is the game’s camera system stationary or not?
A5] No, Title Fight’s camera system is not stationary. It moves around and follows the action like in the Smash Bros. series. Furthermore, if characters move too far from one another, the camera will indeed zoom (and vice versa is true when the characters are closer together).
Q6] Is it difficult to keep an eye on your character amongst the mayhem?
A6] No, not really. As previously stated, there are different colored bands that each character has affixed.
Q7] When are you going to share who the developer is?
A7] As of this evening, I am going to e-mail them and ask when is it ok.
This update is short but hopefully soon I will be able to reveal the developer and more. Thank you for your patience, everyone.
Here is the New Q/A for Title Fight, Sony’s Smash Bros. competitor.
Share your ideas on Title Fight
email the development team about a story mode too
Everybody knows the developer is SuperBot Entertainment.
Hey Paul I am wondering if the team that is making the game are they keeping into account that the characters should be balanced. As you are aware Smash Brothers has hit the tournament scene, and there are only about 10 character people play with because of such the big gap of balance in the game. I am not trying to be a tourney guy that just sucks the fun out of the game, but if this game is to compete with smash, it is going to have to be played in tournaments. A fair game would be nice for a change among characters (with disregard to weapons of course).
Hey Harry, good question. Currently there are some characters a little more powerful than others, especially when it comes to super moves, but I think that in time, things will be balanced and as ironed out as possible. I certainly hope that’s the case because like you said, it would be great to have another tournament fighter where you can really identify with your favorite character and have a chance too.
Going back on the topic of balancing. With the online play will there be updates and patches to the game. As you know broken mechanics are found all the time. Smash really failed to offer in way for the game to be fixed after release, not even re-release. And how is the online in general, is it smooth, is it easy to connect with other players? Also when could we see a possible picture, teaser trailer, anything that actually shows they are making the game. I am excited about the game, but if all this isn’t true then I would be upset. I’m not saying I don’t believe you, but at the same time there is no visible proof yet.

On a similar note to Harry’s remark;
While I agree that the game does need balance (any fighting game should strive for this), there also needs to be a deep enough fighting system. Lots of fighting games have their own nuances. Smash Melee had many interesting ones including ‘L-canceling’ and ‘wavedashing’. My question is, are you going to keep such technical nuances? Now I am aware that a visually obvious technique like wavedashing might get some people annoyed and compelled to complain about ‘game-breaking’ techs, but I think something like L-canceling (canceling landing lag after an air move) should definitely make the cut as it is much more subtle but does offer a slight advantage to those willing to put in the time to master this aspect of their game. What are your thoughts on something like this, Paul?
P.S. for the love of fighting games, put in hitstun and Do not, I repeat, DO NOT put in tripping.
Derek
What you say is true, Derek…strive to make a balanced fighting game (as all should strive to achieve), but also have a level of complexity that requires technique to pull off. The best games are those that anyone can hop into and really have a good time with, but at the same time, the folks that want to get really intricate with the product and prove to be the best in it, actually have something to work with.
My thoughts on Title Fight having something along the lines of L-cancelling are in favor for the most part. I don’t want to see anything that breaks the game (no one does), but I would like there to be some masterful art to it. Yeah that’s about the best way I can say it.
Everyone on the internet is saying the dev is SuperBot.
I suppose you can’t answer whether that’s true or not, but on the bright side you have more supporters now. I really, really want this to be real and this news gives me some welcome peace of mind
Can you show a screenshot?
Superbot Entertainment ! Superbot Entertainment ! Superbot Entertainment ! Superbot Entertainment ! Superbot Entertainment ! Superbot Entertainment !
Well, the developer is known now. We need a video !
Also, could we have a “behind the scenes” of the studio to see how they work (like Naughty Dog) ?
Paul get a move on with reveals. in your email try see if you can reveal more to satisfy sceptics like me. a couple more characters, stages, a screen shot and a developer and you ll go from being the most controversial guy on the web at the mo to the most loved in 1 article
Its SuperBot entertainment.
hey pual idk if you can answer this on here or at this time but could i interview you about this game once its 100% revealed and ok with sony/devs? please?
I have another question. Do you at all discuss what sort of questions and comments you get here to those working on this game?
PS…If yes, please let them know to do everything they can to make it so James Bond can be in this game. 🙂

Just when I thought Sony was getting a LITTLE creative. Nope, they just steal idea after idea. There is NOT enough sony characters to make a fighting game that can even get CLOSE to competing with Smash Bros. I’m not trying to make anyone mad, just saying the truth. Smash bros. Brawl has 44+ characters that are ALL Nintendo’s OWN creations. Although they do have Sonic and Snake which are the 2 exceptions.
