Link has done it again. Tears of the Kingdom was not only the best selling game of the week, but it in fact did better than the previous seven day frame. Sometime in August, the title will clear 1.8 million physical units in Japan. Besides Atelier and Touhou making their debuts in the Top 10, not much else is shaking in software. Pikmin 4’s debut on the other hand, looks to be a really excited chart topper.

In hardware, Nintendo Switch claimed the top spot and is only 75,997 units shy of a lifetime to date of 30 million units sold in Japan. This number might be achieved in 7 days’ time and when it does happen, NS will be the third platform in Japanese history to reach it. (Game Boy and Nintendo DS are the other two.) See you next time!
