Here is the best selling software and hardware in Japan, for the week of November 7th – November 13th, courtesy Famitsu.

Software:

1) Splatoon 3 (NS) – 43,781
2) Tactics Ogre: Reborn (NS) – 36,783
3) God of War: Ragnarök (PS5) – 29,377
4) Sonic Frontiers (NS) – 26,067
5) Tactics Ogre: Reborn (PS4) – 12,668
6) God of War: Ragnarök (PS5) – 11,260
7) Sonic Frontiers (PS5) – 11,111
8) Sonic Frontiers (PS4) – 9,098
9) Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (NS) – 8,025
10) Tactics Ogre: Reborn (PS5) – 7,805

Hardware:

1) Nintendo Switch – 97,542
2) PlayStation 5 – 28,716
3) Xbox Series – 748
4) PlayStation 4 – 138
5) Nintendo 3DS – 32

This week had a few new releases debut and when applicable, the Nintendo Switch versions sold the best (Tactics Ogre and Sonic Frontiers). God of War’s new entry also placed respectably, on PlayStation’s platforms. Nothing yet can toppled Splatoon 3 though…that is, until next week with Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet.

For hardware, Nintendo Switch was on top and sold 7,000 more units than it did last week and 10,000 more than last year. PlayStation 5 more than doubled its last week’s numbers and sold close to 6:1 over itself, for the same week in 2021.

Next week is what everyone is waiting for. Just how high will the overall software and hardware be? We’ll find out soon enough. See you next week!
