5) Dragon Quest X: Rise of the Five Tribes Offline (NS) – 6,157
6) Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (NS) – 5,553
7) Minecraft (NS) – 5,431
8) NieR: Atomata – The End of YoRHA Edition (NS) – 5,107

Hardware:

Persona 5 Royal made its debut this past week on both Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5, with the former pulling ahead 9:1 (though keep in mind that the PS4 version of the game is already playable on PS5). Neither Persona nor the newly released Ultra Kaiju Monster Rancher was able to dethrone Splatoon 3, however.

PlayStation 5 sold what it had to, to reach a lifetime sales of 2 million in Japan, meanwhile Nintendo Switch is at 26.5 million in total, with a year end expectancy being close to 28m.
