Paul Gale Network was recently told that the Nintendo Switch OLED Model sold over 600,000 units in its opening three day weekend of October 8th-10th. The system was basically sold out across all markets and though I don’t have the exact number of what was shipped to retailers, the sell-through was high.

Furthermore, Metroid Dread was also a big hit, easily passing half a million world wide. If you’re concerned that 500k sounds low, don’t be. No number was provided to PGN, but it’s inferred that the game did well above that figure.

When Nintendo provides official numbers, I will update the story. Go Metroid and go OLED!
