Zelda Wii with motion controls on Paul Gale Network

When I was at E3 this past June and had the opportunity to check out the demo that Nintendo put together of Zelda on Wii U, I was very impressed with the visuals, but even more excited about what Nintendo could do with the U-control in that series. The more I thought of the possibilities, the more I wondered that if The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword was well received for its one to one motion controls, could Nintendo opt for a similar method of input for Zelda Wii U, despite the system having a potential new setup…or could even both work in conjunction with the other.

Well according to Eiji Aonuma in an interview with the Official Nitnendo Magazine, he had the following to say, “I honestly think we cannot go back to button controls now, so I think that these controls will be used in future Zelda titles, too.”

That’s definitely interesting and entirely possible, as Wii U will work with the Wii Remote Plus and Nunchuck…not to mention, since the system will be far more powerful than Wii, the extra horsepower and further understanding of just what the WiiMotion Plus technology can handle, could potentially deliver an even more epic sword-wielding experience. Call me excited! Paul Gale Network will update you with more as it comes in.
