A big congratulations goes out to all of the fighters that participated in UFC 140 last night. Both winners and losers of pretty much every match, really put on a solid performance with a few fights having completely memorable moments/finishes.

Jon Jones choking out Lyoto Machida to retain his Light Heavyweight Championship after losing the first round really showed the versatility of the young fighter. Frank Mir breaking Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira’s arm in the first round after he got rocked by a load of shots showed true adversity as a fighter.

Antonio Rogerio Nogueira’s knee and punch to the body finish of Tito Ortiz was also a pretty epic finish. I could actually go on and talk about at least three other knockouts that happened that night and go further into detailing the above bouts and others as well, but I really think it’s one of those pay per views that’s worth watching yourself.

It was so good of an event, that I’d wager to say that even if you’re not a fan of mixed martial arts, either because you don’t “get it” or have never watched it…a show like this one might turn you into a fan. I came away very impressed and am now almost equally excited for UFC 141 which has the setup of potentially being another great night. Here’s to a safe recovery to all that suffered injuries last night (and there sure were some that suffered greatly). And once again, congratulations to the winners.
