Nintendo sent out a press release to us today, revealing that beginning October 23rd, they’ll be putting together a new Wii console bundle that will include one black system, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, a special Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack CD, Nunchuck, Wii Remote Plus, and Sensor Bar (along with the standard cables…obviously). This package will retail for $149.99.
This newly designed Wii is now a rectangle without one corner being cut, as this version is now intended to lay flat; as opposed to the vertical position the original model was known for being in. Also, this Wii console is not backwards compatible with GameCube games or accessories. If you still want an old Wii, the white and black bundles that come with Mario Kart Wii will still be available for $149.99. Which version do you prefer?
