Eric Wallace (Mister Terrific) on Paul Gale Network

An hour ago I was privileged to meet Mr. Eric Wallace, DC’s new writer for Mister Terrific. Having read Eric’s works in the past, it was already great knowing ahead of time that he was chosen to lead the way for Terrific’s new series…so getting to meet this talent in person was quite a treat.

What made me especially happy was to learn that Eric is genuinely having a blast of a time writing this book and I personally think that’s the most important thing a fan can ask for. He said that as cliche as it may be, he really is having the most fun ever writing for Mister Terrific.

It was then especially kind of Wallace to autograph three copies of issue #1, as well as show me some cool art from the cover of part 2, artwork from some future issues (thanks to his trusty iPad), and tell me about how fun the creative process is, in working with Gianluca Gugliotta (the artist of MT), since he really goes out of his way to make the action work). If you’re a comic book fan and want to try something different in DC’s lineup, yet as full of potential for being great as they come, give Mister Terrific a try.

Thank you Eric for taking time out of your day to come by Collector’s Paradise (my comic book shop in Winnetka, CA) and share some laughs. Oh and on a personal note, Eric thought it was really cool that Planet Global Network (PGN) was in the new issue of Superman #1…sharing the same three letters as Paul Gale Network. Keep up the awesome work, Mr. Wallace! Oh and it was definitely fun joking with you about letting DC’s writers of the 52 new comics be able to “draw” an alternate cover to the issues that roll out in April…for April Fool’s Day. I’d buy your Mister Terrific on a giraffe any day. If DC goes with my idea, let me know!
