Tonight’s Spike TV Video Game Awards is going to have over a dozen world wide, exclusive first game unveils, with the top billing going to Uncharted 3…or so you think. The fact is however, that a few other key games being shown for the first time (including new trailers of known games in development) will also blow you away.

If you’re not looking forward to Uncharted 3’s new trailer (and shame on you for not), then have no fear because the show tonight is still worth watching for non PlayStation 3 owners as well. That’s the only hint I can reveal, as I’ve seen the entire list of tonight’s live lineup and it’s a very attractive one. What platforms will these games be for? You’ll have to wait a few more hours, but in the meantime, be happy knowing that even if you’re not a PS3 owner or fan of the Uncharted series, there are other BIG TIME revelations/updates that are worthy of E3 debuts. I’m stoked to see them in action myself as for now I only know the names. Here’s to tonight.

I’ve attended several Spike TV VGA’s in the past, but am not going to this year’s show. What a year it’s going to be too in regards to special sneak peaks. Get your DVR’s ready, ladies and gentlemen. That’s 8PM Eastern and 5PM Pacific.

  1. LOL, probably just another stupid, last – gen Halo spin – off. What is it this time, Halo 3: ODST 2? Halo Kart? Halo Super Tennis? Halo and Gears Of War At The Olympics?

Sorry, 360 kids but nothing beats Uncharted 3, nice try though.

  2. Beyond good and evil 2 maybe? Is nintendo gonna have some mind blowing reveals too? I wish they would reveal a new starfox game, damn that would be sweet.

  3. Nothing beats Uncharted 3? Uncharted 3 is good for single player. No replay value whatsoever. The tacked on multiplayer gets boring after 10 minutes. Gears is leagues ahead of Uncharted and so is Mass Effect.

  4. *derp, I didn’t write the article to get anyone’s hopes up and I think that most people (according to all of the e-mails I’ve received) were really happy with the Kratos in Mortal Kombat video, the extended Batman: Arkham City trailer, and the showings of Elder Scrolls 5 and Mass Effect 3. Those last two were huge! When I saw this list, to me those stuck out more than Uncharted 3. Maybe part of U3’s thunder got stollen because we already knew it was going to be there, but in my opinion, Mass Effect 3 was something I couldn’t wait to see AND I was very pleased with Resistance 3. Come on, don’t be mad at the messenger.

I mean, if there was a Zelda: Skyward Sword trailer, there still would be some people that would say, “aw man, that sucked…it wasn’t anywhere near as big as Uncharted 3”. So really, it’s a matter of individual taste. Don’t get me wrong though, I’m stoked for the Drake’s next game!
