Last week, Paul Gale Network shared with you Heihachi and Toro as the two newest characters to join the PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale roster. Before officially revealing them, however, I did provide two hints in this article.
How did those two hints play out? The first one was of a martial artist with exaggerated hair (Heihachi Mishima) and the second, of a cat (Toro Inoue). As I previously stated, throughout this summer, SuperBot Entertainment would be revealing several new characters, periodically, and the next two happen to be coming this weekend at the San Diego Comic Con.
Would you like similar hints beforehand of who they might be?
Would they happen to be lombax with a robot companion and a guy with long ears with a orange furry sidekick.

Also, might I suggest posting a day earlier than the official character release? I noticed you posted it on the day of character release for Heihachi and Toro. It may have been too late for people to read the article and start guessing.
I wouldn’t mind new hints but the previous two seemed a bit too obvious.
Maybe you could try a riddle or an extremely obscure thing or fact that hints to the characters perhaps?
Yes! Speculation is just about the funnest part of waiting for a game and it’d be fun to try and decipher until Sunday. My best guesses for reveals would be Cole MacGrath and Solid Snake. Still waiting on Sir Dan and Spyro, if they’re in, I would need noone else at this point.

Let me riddle you this: can we expect any of these knew characters to have been PSP or Vita debuters? IE: characters that got their start on the PSP or Vita?
I know of a handful of fighters remaining and will tell you that of those I know, some have been on both PSP and PS Vita. As far as debuters on either, no comment yet.
You’re making it hard to wait for this Saturday. Now I’ve got the Battle Royale announcements, potentially some Man of Steel news, and my final house party before I move out of Boston.

Why do I immediately think Ape Escape when I hear PSP and Vita…? PLEASE let it be Spike or Specter! I see people suggest a random Pipo Ape too many times, would a waste of the IP rep IMHO.

Omar would like me to keep things closer to my chest than I have, which is why I let them have their Big Daddy moment at E3 and why for Heihachi and Toro, I waited till the day of to put up even a tiny hint.

It would be awesome Paul to see some hints I can assume who they are, but it’d be nice to know if I’m the right track. Oh and thank you very much for posting these little articles about the up and coming games. Quick question which character would like to see in game? Be them first or third party it’d be nice to see your opinion on the roster.

Oh he would make a good edition to the game, he’d be and all around character with a good mix of long and close range attacks. If Heihachi can make there is a pretty decent chance the Ryu could make it has well.
I am a fan of spyro and crash should I be worried about them not making a appearance in this game?

Paul, after watching the EVO panel, I’ve come up with a few questions for Playstation All Stars Battle Royale
1) You know how you can change the characters colours, well can you also change the colours of the alternate costumes and pre-order costumes?
2) Is Arcade Mode and Story Mode the same thing?
3) In Arcade Mode, Omar and Superbot showed off one of the rivalry cutscenes, well I want to know how many cutscenes are there per character?
4) Will the rivalries in arcade mode be one sided, as in Heihachi’s rival is Toro, but Toro’s rival is someone else?
5) For the taunt button, is it just 1 taunt the character does when the button is pressed or is it a different taunt each time?
6) In SSBB, you were able to add comments to your taunts so whenever the taunt button is pressed, you see the comment, will you be able to do the same in Playstation All Stars Battle Royale?
7) are custom soundtracks confirmed for this game?
I’m not sure about that one.

Everyone has a chance technically…as long as they’ve been on a PlayStation system.
After it took Square Enix 3 years to get around to the Final Fantasy 7 outfits for Little Big Planet, what are the chances that Square related characters will appear in All-Stars, on a scale of 1-10? ( 10 =highest )
Just as good of a chance as any other PS character…you can determine how likely for now. 🙂

2.when are you releasing the next couple of clues for sundays comic-con panel? its getting pretty close already.
My friend is involved with the game’s development in some capacity and I plan to have the hints by the end of today or tomorrow.
how does the superbot team feel about you giving hints on their next character reveals and game mechanic updates? i suppose they would be ok with it, otherwise you wouldnt be doing it at all.
My particular friend gradually updates me along the process of the game’s development and occasionally tells me when it’s ok to put something up. Omar’s official stance, however, is to hold back. The gaming community obviously wants it all. What I try to do is respect all three.

I don’t know when I’ll have another one of those, but for the last month plus, I have been trying to get to people’s questions in these comments. And thank you. Friday night I went to club to go dancing, Saturday afternoon to a shooting range, followed by a sports bar to watch UFC 148, and then to a bowling ally. Sunday I went to the beach. It was a packed weekend. Epic indeed. I appreciate it.
