Paul Gale Network is doing something slightly different with its next game reveal and that’s letting you decide whether or not you want it. That might seem like the most obvious, “Uh yeah we want it” response…ever, but here’s where it gets tricky.

I have not been able to confirm this game’s validity and that’s why even if I do share the news, it will be listed as a rumor. I normally put up stories if I’ve either seen it with my own eyes or received word from a trusted source affiliated with the project. In this particular case, it’s more along the lines of rumblings and small talk than anything concrete.

I contacted Rocksteady about this rumored project and as expected, didn’t get a confirmation or denial, but I’ll tell you that it’s definitely something that if true, would make me extremely happy. The ironic thing about this is, that after handing the Batman: Arkham City team PGN’s Best Adventure Game of E3 2011 award last June, I even recommended a few people at the booth, this very idea to be their next project.

On the one hand, the people where I’m hearing rumors from in no way knew about the conversation that I had at E3 about this game…which makes me think it is possibly true. On the other hand, it could just be a big coincidence (yet coming from a couple different places), not to mention a couple of other parts that make me feel a little skeptical.

So here’s where you come in. I’ll give it a couple of days for you to voice your opinion and either say:

1) “Don’t even bother sharing it if you don’t know it’s true. If it turns out fake, it’ll just piss off the internet.”
OR
2) “What the hell…why not. We’ll take it as a rumor and not complain if it turns out false.”

Believe me, I’ve learned a lot as a journalist over the years and know the different types of people out there reading the news. You’ll never please everyone, with the exception of possibly giving them the full retail version of a secret game, 2 years in advance…and even then, some will complain that you didn’t fluff their pillow before you left. So I figured I’ll give this one to you and let you decide what I do with it.

And I know some will ask so I’ll answer it now. 1) No, this isn’t Title Fight related and aside from a couple of characters that I know and haven’t been able to share just yet, new details on that game will be scarce for a bit longer. 2) No, this is not the Wii U/3DS game that I came across. I’m really hoping to reveal that one before the end of the month, but can’t promise anything.

If you leave a comment below, say whatever you wish, but with it…pick one of the two bolded options and when I get enough feedback, I’ll either shut this story up or give you a rumor that if true, will be very, very cool. Thanks!

Here is your Rocksteady rumor! You asked for it…Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Manhattan Crisis
