Nintendo’s Virtual Console service has been around for a few years now and with it has come quite a few classic games from years past that Wii owners can enjoy for either the first time or to get their nostalgia on.

Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers on Paul Gale Network
Hadouken!

Well now we’ve got one more classic to add to the list and it’s the Sega Genesis version of Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers. Yes, the Super Nintendo edition of the game already exists on the VC, but Capcom is doing something a little different with this port and that’s adding online play.

The game will first be hitting Japan, confirmed to follow in North America and Europe. Thank you, Capcom…but please don’t stop here. Let’s see the SNES version of Street Fighter Alpha 2 also be made available and throw in some online play with it too! Bryndon and I need another 3 hour session, but this time across the web.

Visit Capcom-Unity.com for more.
