Nintendo 3DS Circle Pad Attachment
Nintendo told us today during their Pre-Tokyo Game Show press conference that the Nintendo 3DS Circle Pad Attachment will be coming out in Japan on December 10th for around $20. Furthermore, it will also require one Triple A battery, give the handheld a more smoothed out grip, akin to the rounded out edges of the U-control (Wii U’s controller), and add two more shoulder buttons: LZ and RZ (while bumping up the existing L and R). Despite the screen being slightly off centered, I’ve been told friends who’ve gone hands on with it that in their honest opinion, it’s not very bothersome when gaming and you get use to the angle change within 10 minutes.
Also new from Satoru Iwata is the announcement that this November the 3DS will have an update that allows the system to record 3D videos which is really cool and that more Street Pass games will come out in time for the holidays, as well as new puzzles to complete. Lastly, two of this year’s biggest 3DS games have release dates: Super Mario 3D Land will hit North American shores on November 13th, followed by Mario Kart 7 on December 4th. Mama mia!
