This morning, Jack Tretton (Sony’s US president) told Bloomberg.com that their successor to the PSP may see a delay in some territories around the world until 2012. Though he did not state which countries those might be, he did say that they’re still likely to release their next generation portable in at least one market by the end of 2011.

Why the delay? Jack said that Sony is facing some production problems as a result of the disasters that recently struck Japan. Hopefully the Toko-based company will be able to meet at least some of their original goals. As soon as more breaks, you’ll hear about it on PGN.
