Tecmo Koei

At KoeiTecmo.co.jp, we just learned that Kenji Matsubara just quit the company due to personal reasons. The company did just have some success with Metroid: Other M and Quantum Theory, but also a loss because Trinity: Souls of Zill O’ll got delayed.

The good news is that Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage just came out and should hopefully do well for the company and perhaps more importantly, Yoichi Erikawa (you can call him Kou Shibusawa) will be taking Kenji’s place immediately.

He’s best known for creating Koei back in 1978 with his wife and as the man behind Nobunaga’s Ambition and Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Good luck goes out to Kenji on his departure and Yoichi/Kou on his new position.

  1. Farking hell man!
    so many people quitting!

So he’s quitting or retiring? how old is he? and if he’s still game in the industry, what company would he move on to?

Let’s hope Yoichi founder of Koei will make tough good choices for TK.

Because personally I’m not fond of Koei, Omega W Force can make games but can’t polish it! I still don’t know how people can play their Dynasty Warriors series from 1 to 6. Because all the enemies does are surround you and do nothing.

They made no farking IP, all they have is Dynasty Warriors:/
