Nintendo 3DS on Paul Gale Network

Recently in Rare‘s forums, a fan had the following question:

I have 2 Questions 1. Are you going to make another Banjo-Kazooie title fore de DS like you made Banjo-Kazooie Grunty’s Revenge?? 2. Cane you make a Banjo-Kazooie Remake on the DS??

Answering the question was Robin Schuurman with:
Banjo-3DSie confirmed! Although by confirmed I do mean 100% utterly speculative. We haven’t done much in the handheld ’space’ since DKR DS and Pocket Paradise – could we dip our toes in again at some point? Possibly. 3DS? Not for me to say. Bandai WonderSwan? No.

Rare has made some incredible games in this industry and even though many gamers’ last “A” memory of Rare was in Perfect Dark for Nintendo 64, the developer has still delivered good titles since being purchased by Microsoft. The fact is that they still own Perfect Dark, Killer Instinct, Jet Force Gemini, Conker, and Blast Corps (all of which were popular on Nintendo platforms as well as Viva Pinata and Kameo (their Xbox and beyond franchises), so they have enough to work with whether it’s something for Xbox 360 or 3DS.

Hopefully whatever the company brings us next is of the quality they were known for in the 90’s. As for what I’d like to see…a new Killer Instinct is long overdue in my opinion!
