When I went to E3 in 2009 and played New Super Mario Bros. Wii, I had an absolute blast, so I was really looking forward to when the game would come out later in the year, so to show my anticipation I decided that for my 12th video game themed pumpkin, I would carve New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

Here’s a
video of my New Super Mario Bros. Wii pumpkin.

For past Halloweens, the way I carve my video game themed pumpkins is by first drawing out the image and then taking a knife to it. This was the first time that I didn’t use a pen at all and in fact went straight to cutting. I was pretty pleased with the fact that I was able to do it that way. 🙂 Another first for this pumpkin was me coloring it. Adding red, yellow, blue, and green really made it feel like New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Oh and it’s also my first “scene” for a pumpkin. I hope you like it. By the way, in case you’re wondering who did the Cinderella (front)/Wicked Witch (back) pumpkin, that was my girlfriend’s doing. It was her second year making one.

The last (and one of the most exciting things) about my New Super Mario Bros. Wii pumpkin is that it won 1st place at 4ColorRebellion.com in their pumpkin carving contest!
