Nintendo Switch was the best selling console of the week and is continuing to narrow the gap between this year and 2021. (Now only 491,000 behind.)

PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series both sold a respectable amount of units. Xbox Series year-to-date is at 221,769, far over last year’s equivalent of 63,585. PlayStation 5 for 2022 is currently at 731,868, which is behind 2021’s 817,046. With a decent push towards the end of the year, PS5 still stands a chance of being the platform’s best year yet in Japan.
