8) Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (NS) – 5,866

Hardware:

1) Nintendo Switch – 182,846

Splatoon 3 was the big winner, moving over 1.9 million physical copies, and thanks to Nintendo’s earlier report, with digital sales, over 3.45 million total were sold this past weekend in Japan. The split was in the neighborhood of 56:44, favoring physical.

Nintendo Switch led hardware sales in a tremendous way, accounting for 98.2% of consoles sold. Other fun facts include NS now clearing 26 million units in Japan and the NS OLED Model surpassing 2.5m. Let’s see how good these squid and octopus legs are next week!
