The Nintendo World Championships 2015 event was one excellent show. Nintendo really made it fun and had a nice variety of games that really showed what the company’s historic past is made up of and why its future will be just as good. Here are some fun pictures and impressions from the event.
To start if off, PGN’s Jack Hirsch and I met up with Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono and took another one of our traditional pictures. Ono is always very pleasant, talkative, and takes time to make your conversations with him a meaningful one. Thank you again, my friend! Here’s to Ryu in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS as well as Street Fighter V!
As you saw in the first photo, I decided to go to the event as Ryu from Street Fighter…and now Super Smash Bros.! It was a real blast posing for photos, doing some interviews with various gaming sites, and getting a roar from the audience when I’d do a ShoRyuKen or HaDouKen, anytime the camera was on me during Nintendo’s live stream. What a way to commemorate Ryu’s entry into a new series, than dressing up as him in my authentic Shotokan Karate gi…right!?
