“You heard the stupid gaffe yesterday about the Wii U. If someone wants to take Unreal Engine 4 and ship a game on Wii U, they can! If they wanna ship an Unreal Engine 4 game on Xbox 360, they could make it happen.” – Mark Rein

That’s what Mark Rein had to say to Engadget.com and what that means is that like the original reports that Paul Gale Network received months ago, though Nintendo’s next-gen console might not necessarily be the most suitable device to handle UE4 titles, developers can scale the games down a notch and have them still run, but with less rich detail.

I personally feel that, as long as Wii U can capably run these games, that even if they’re the “least visually impressive” of the trio (the other two being PlayStation 4 and Xbox 360’s successor), then Nintendo fans can still enjoy the bulk of the next generation’s finest titles and not be stuck in the dark like they were with Wii, by it not having so many 3rd party games.
