Time Warner just announced some strong results for the fourth quarter of 2011 as well as the full year and pertaining to gamers, one of impressive stats shared was the success of Batman: Arkham City.

It was reported that the game shipped (not sold) 6 million copies between launch and December 31st. Furthermore, Time Warner’s “Filmed Entertainment” group made $12.6 billion, which is a 9% increase year-over-year. It’s good to know that Batman was a solid contribution to the TV, movies, and gaming part of the company and here’s to more success to come in 2012.

Whether Rocksteady Studios makes Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Manhattan Crisis or any other high profile game, I’m sure that fans will eat it up.
