Today at the Web 2.0 Summit, Jack Tretton of SCEA announced that the PlayStation Vita’s launch date in the United States will be February 22nd, 2012.
In addition to the US getting PS Vita in February…Europe, Australia, Africa, and the Middle East will as well on that same date. If you really did want a Vita on the December 17th, Japanese launch date, you could still get one and play games region free as they’d come out in the US or wherever you live, but at least now you know that all you have to do is wait a measly two months and it’ll be yours without worrying about shipping, etc.
As previously reported on PGN, the wifi version will be $249.99 and the 3G version, $299.99. Here’s to a successful launch.
