In 2007, Udon came out with a huge compilation art book called Udon’s Art of Capcom. It contained many of this established video game company’s different franchises in glorious art, including original sketches, classic pieces, rare book covers, and more. Soon to be releasing this summer is the follow up: Udon’s Art of Capcom 2.

Here’s the cover of Udon’s Art of Capcom 2.

This massive 280+ page book will showcase beautifully reproduced images from Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, Final Fight, and more. You’ll be treated to many of Udon’s Capcom artwork over the past three years and as a bonus, a special tribute gallery which features the Udon crew’s original takes on various Capcom properties. The limited edition hardcover version goes on sale at Udon’s booth at this July’s San Diego Comic-Con, with a softcover version landing in stores this August. Udon does great work, so here’s to another awesome book.

  1. Too bad I’m not going to Comic-con this year, that book looks nice, just like the previous one. Are you getting that from Capcom? or waiting for the softcover?

    1. The cool thing that I didn’t mention in the article, is that I got to see this cover at E3. The Udon guys showed it off to me and I thought, “wow”. As for which one I’m going to get, well…it’ll be hard to pass up on owning this baby in July, so maybe that one. 🙂
