Nintendo.com/au announced on Wednesday that the 3DS was very well received in its first week of availability in Australia. In fact, it had the best portable launch ever, moving 31,000 units in just 4 days. The only system to sell more in its launch week is actually Nintendo’s own Wii, with 32,000 (it’s sold 2.1 million total since its December 2006 debut). Will the 3Ds have the same type of success as its predecessor? Hopefully, but at least it’s off to a great start.
