Wii Remote with Wii MotionPlus
This is not a picture of the Wii Remote Plus, but rather the normal Wii MotionPlus becoming one with a Wii Remote. The new Wii Remote Plus will be the same shape and overall look of the standard one.

Nintendo has unveiled to me today, plans to begin selling Wii Remotes with built in Wii MotionPlus technology. This new device is called, “Wii Remote Plus”…simple yet effecting. Furthermore, it appears that the first game to come bundled in with it won’t be Wii Party, but rather FlingSmash.

It’s fitting for Nintendo to release this product now (though many will say that it’s 4 years too late), because Sony and Microsoft have the PlayStation Move and Kinect as motion competition in their holiday debuts.

I played this game at both E3 2009 and 2010, and I at first thought it was a WiiWare game due to its simplicity, but was told both times that it’s in fact a regular retail release. Now I see it moreso thanks to it being packaged with a Wii Remote Plus. It’s a pretty fun, if basic game, where you control a metallic ball-like character, flinging him as he smashes through the level. He becomes heavier, lighter, and of different textures, which you kind of actually “feel”. Expect more on the game when it comes out.
