This moment also gives Big N more energy to focus on further building the 3DS brand and give much more, needed attention to Wii U, where the console hasn&#8217;t quite took off in its homeland.  12.7 million Wii consoles have been sold in Japan in the last 7 years, which is a great number and makes it the best selling console of the last generation in that market (Xbox 360 by comparison has sold 1.6 million and PlayStation 3 has sold 9.5 million).
