I should clarify for new people reading how this terminology works.  For you, me, and most of the world&#8230; <\/p>\n<p>Q1 of a year is from January 1st to March 31st<br \/>\nQ2 of a year is from April 1st to June 30th<br \/>\nQ3 of a year is from July 1st to September 30th<br \/>\nQ4 of a year is from October 1st to December 31st<\/p>\n<p>Know that the way Nintendo and most other video game companies work, is that the beginning of their &#8220;fiscal year&#8221; is March 1st.  So as to not be confused, just keep in mind then when you read this article and future reports, remember that companies work like this&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Q1 of a fiscal year is April 1st to June 30th<br \/>\nQ2 of a fiscal year is July 1st to September 30th<br \/>\nQ3 of a fiscal year is October 1st to December 31st<br \/>\nQ4 of a fiscal year is January 1st to March 31st<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/app.onlinephotofiler.com\/Img1\/A_0\/0\/5\/5\/5500\/eb4ab2d89ccb4faeb3ea24457a207903.Large.jpg?u=70605f08-7d1c-4ed6-ad82-da69cbcd6656\" alt=\"Nintendo Q2 2010 Financial Data Part 2\" \/><br \/>\nFull size of <a href=\"http:\/\/app.onlinephotofiler.com\/Img1\/A_0\/0\/5\/5\/5500\/eb4ab2d89ccb4faeb3ea24457a207903.jpg?uid=a990d02e-0b22-4936-a3fd-6a4b71da0a55\">Report 1<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here are a couple of the important pieces from these charts:<\/p>\n<p>-4.09 million copies of <\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/supermariogalaxy.com\/\">Super Mario Galaxy 2<\/a> have already been sold.<\/p>\n<p>-3.15 million DS units and 22.42 million units of DS software were sold worldwide during their Quarter 1, 2010.  That&#8217;s a 1:7.1 ratio.<\/p>\n<p>-3.04 million Wii consoles and 28.17 million units of Wii software were sold worldwide during their Quarter 1, 2010.
