In a recent interview with Eiji Aonuma, he said that “Mr. Miyamoto himself has been talking recently about going back to the 2D Zelda games” and went on to the idea of Nintendo possibly recreating A Link to the Past for 3DS after<\/em> the upcoming, all new and totally original Zelda game that’s in development for the handheld, sees the light of day.<\/p>\n

Now this isn’t a confirmation by any means that a remake of Zelda: ALttP is in the makings, but at least some very important people at Nintendo are interested in the idea. I’d personally be quite happy if this ever happened, as it’s been a very long time since that classic came out and no doubt would it be appreciated by a whole new generation if it received a visual upgrade.<\/p>\n
