It looks like 2011 really is Mortal Kombat’s comeback year, as we first got the 9th entry in the series (which happens to be one of the very best) and now the announcement from Warner’s Kevin Tsujihara (Home Entertainment President) that a new movie is in the works.<\/p>\n

In the LA Times interview, we learned that the director of Mortal Kombat: Legacy (the online web series), Kevin Tancharoen, will be in charge of the new film. I’m keeping optimistic for this new movie…and if it’s anywhere near as good as MK9, we’ll be in for a treat.<\/p>\n
