The game comes out tomorrow for 3DS and hopefully Nintendo keeps up this type of cool marketing with Wii U as we head into Summer and then Fall.

The next Nintendo Direct and likely, the biggest and most anticipated one of the year, is going to go online in a mere 19 days. 7am PST, June 11th, 2013: The Megaton Wii U news day that Nintendo fans all over the world have been waiting for. This is it folks! It’s going to be one incredible event with the hardcore gamer really in mind. Exclusive first reveals, shocking moments, and beautiful titles aplenty. Get ready!

Xbox One

Microsoft just wrapped up their Xbox One revealing in Redmond, Washington and with it, we got our first look at the console itself, the controller, an understanding of the presence that the new Kinect will have, some other features including built in Skype and multi-media control, and finally, a glimpse into the future of the system’s games.

Tomorrow Microsoft is going to show off the successor to Xbox 360, so what does Sony do? Why, give a little tease at what the PlayStation 4 console itself is going to look like, of course. Make out what you can, right below.

Thanks so much for the great response to our call for assets last week. Watching your games come to life on OUYA inspires us. And we can’t wait to tell the world about it!

For E3 this year, OUYA will be outside the convention hall (shocker — we’re roaming outside of the pack!). We’ll be sharing our games with the public — NOT just the pass holders. Though we’re still hammering out the details, here’s what we know today:

First and foremost — we want YOU to be OUYA’s E3 presence. E3 is about unique games, cool content and the people behind such projects. Our goal is to provide the resources necessary to allow you to showcase your amazing work on OUYA!

E3 2013 dates are Tuesday, 6/11 to Thursday, 6/13

Our location is a parking lot directly across from the Convention Center’s South Hall (address is 601 W. Pico Blvd.)

OUYA will be present for all three days of the event, and we’ll provide everything you’ll need to put on a killer game demo. OUYA console…check, controllers…check, TV…check. We’ll also make sure that you’re fed and have plenty to drink while you’re onsite because hydration and nutrition are key.

You’ll be able to demo your games to media, E3 attendees and random people on the street who want to see what all the buzz is about. We’re going all out to ensure we get the best equipment, and we’re also engineering it with the elements of an outside location in mind. We’re confident this will turn out to be an awesome event that you and your teams will be proud of!

OUYA’s E3 location will be 100 percent open to the public — no credentials required! Invite friends, family — hell, invite anyone ‘cuz they’re all welcome!

Essentially, we’ll handle the details. You just need to get to Los Angeles.

We understand you may still have questions on stuff not addressed above (details will evolve in real time over the next couple weeks).

E3 is in 25 days and with the next Nintendo Direct expected to be a rather big one (and coming out just before the big week begins), it was nice to still get some fresh information today. Watch below and enjoy!

“Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games” looks fun and is it just me or by that video alone and seeing Mario from a 3rd person perspective on Wii U just make me THAT much more excited for an all out new action adventure game of his!? Also, it’s great hearing that Nintendo and Sega have partnered up to do three Sonic games exclusively on Nintendo platforms, including the revelation and first image of Sonic: Lost World for Wii U and 3DS.

The Pikmin 3 and the Wonderful 101 coming out on August 4th and September 15th, respectively, was some much welcomed information. Good move too, by Nintendo, to make New Super Luigi U (June 20th) be available as both DLC and in its own, totally awesome green box. Finally, a very smart decision in partnering up with 100 Best Buy stores throughout the US, this June, to bring Nintendo’s new Wii U and 3DS games that will be playable on the E3 show floor, to the gaming public at large. Keep on bringing it, Big N!

Nintendo just announced that tomorrow morning at 7 PST, they’ll be hosting a new Nintendo Direct that deals with Wii U and 3DS games set to come out for the remainder of Spring and Summer. So then, titles for both platforms between May 17th and September 21st…right? If that’s the case and the rumor of Nintendo’s 3D Mario title for Wii U set to come out in September is true, then it’s certainly possible that tomorrow we might get a first glimpse of it. As with all Nintendo Direct videos that Big N puts out…I’m excited for this one!

The Gran Turismo series turns 15 years old this year and to celebrate the occasion, Sony is releasing Gran Turismo 6 for PlayStation 3, this holiday season.

Kazunori Yamauchi announces new game at Gran Turismo 15th anniversary event; 70 million franchise figure was also revealed

SILVERSTONE, England, May 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. today announced Gran Turismo®6 (GT6™), the latest version of PlayStation®’s best-selling franchise, will be released in Holiday, 2013. The news was revealed today by legendary Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi at an event held to celebrate 15 years of the 70-million-selling series.

GT6 for PlayStation®3 will bring new levels of authenticity to ‘the Real Driving Simulator’ as well as introducing stunning new tracks and cars and a revised user interface. A new compact game engine will improve operation and increase the flexibility to expand it with downloadable content. Meanwhile, the game is also set for expanded connectivity with other devices such as smart phones and tablets and increased social and community functions.

All of the cars and tracks from Gran Turismo®5, which has sold over 10 million copies since launching in 2010, will be retained in GT6. But notable new additions to the already impressive line-up of historic cars, road cars and the latest race cars, brings the total car list to 1,200 at launch, with new cars set to be continually added online. Several thousand aerodynamic parts and custom wheels will be available for almost all cars, and players can personalize their own custom cars in game to the greatest ever level possible.

The UK’s famous Silverstone Circuit will be just one of seven new locations in Gran Turismo 6, taking the total to 33, with 71 different layouts available, 19 of them brand new. There will also be regular additions of new tracks set to be made available online. The improved course maker function will provide gorgeous scenery spanning several tens of square kilometers including the magnificent backdrop of Andalucia.

The theme of Gran Turismo’s innovative collaborations with partner companies will increase with the inception of GT6. A number of exciting new projects that blur the line between the virtual and real will be announced in the run up to the game’s launch. Not least of these is GT Academy, a collaboration with Nissan to unearth real racing driver talent that first ran in 2008. It was announced during the event that the competition returns for its biggest ever year in 2013, with the entry mechanic set to take place on an exclusive GT6 demo in July.

Other notable partnerships in the development of GT6 have been with tire manufacturer Yokohama Rubber and suspension company KW Automotive. Both companies are active in the commercial car industry and in racing, and they have acted as technical development partners for the game’s new physics engine, for its tire and suspension kinematic modeling, creating an even more realistic experience for GT fans.

The celebration of 15 years of Gran Turismo event at Silverstone included a demo of GT6 featuring the famous circuit. Guests were able to play the game in the familiar circular Gran Turismo race pods before having a chance to take to the real track in cars provided by Audi, Ford, Jaguar, KTM, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan and Toyota.
